It is with profound sorrow that the family of Joyce, age 82 of Maplewood, announce her passing following complications related to a stroke. Joyce went home to the Lord peacefully surrounded by her adoring family on the morning of Sunday April 6th, 2025. Preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Marian; grandson, Brandon Devine; and son-in-law, Jerry Jr. Devine. Joyce was a longtime member of the Lioness Club and shared a passion for attending classic car shows with her husband, Gordon. She was also an avid bowler and wonderful cook. Joyce found joy in spending time with her loyal companion Oliver, beautiful family and many joyous friends. Joyce was known for her compassion, generosity, grace and devotion to her faith, family and friends. She was the kind of person who made the world better just by being in it. Joyce spent most of her life in Maplewood where she built a beautiful life with her loving husband of 65 years. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Joyce's warmth touched everyone who knew her. Survived by her beloved husband, Gordon and their wonderful children, Cheryl, Debbie (Kenny) Nerud, Roger, Robbyn (widow) Devine, and Mark. Joyce was the proud grandmother of Jerry III, Krystal, Amanda, Brianna, Makaela, Brock and Star; and also a cherished great-grandmother to five. Joyce will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. Visitation on Monday, April 21, 4-8pm at Mueller Memorial, 835 Johnson Parkway, St. Paul. Funeral Mass 11am Tuesday, April 22, at Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 1725 Kennard St, Maplewood, with visitation one hour prior. Reception to follow at the VFW in North St. Paul.
