John Haider

John Andrew Haider, 93, of Oakdale, passed away on November 12, 2024. He was preceded in death by his sons, John A. II and Paul. He is survived by his best friend and loving wife, Anita; children, Bill (Janel), Richard (Robin), Robert, Marie (Dan) Knieff; Anita's children, Dianne (Bob) Klaus, Richard (Kris) Plante, Rhonda (Beau) Von Drashek, Jaime Plante, and Jacki (Brian) Anderson; 28 grandchildren, Brandon, Nicholas, Sarah, Emily,John III, Kevin, Callista, Alexandra, Dana, Whitney, Kelsey, Erin, Erik, Bailey, Tayler, Dylan, Abbie, Peyton, Alexa, Jason, Lauren, Kari, Caleb, Cara, John IV, Nora, Sarah, Blair, Laine; 7 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and many nieces; nephews and family and friends. John was a Sgt. in the Air Force and served from 1951-1955 in the special services. He enjoyed all sports and was a professional ball player. He will be greatly missed. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM on Friday, November 22, 2024 at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, 4741 Bald Eagle Ave, White Bear Lake, with visitation at 10 AM until time of the Mass. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
