John Robert Fabio, 75, of Maplewood, MN and Brownsville, TX, passed away on January 5, 2024 after a year and a half battle with kidney cancer.
John was born on May 31, 1948 to Robert and Betty Fabio in St. Paul, MN. He graduated from North St. Paul High School and St Paul TVI. John retired from The Gillette Company in 1998 after 30 years of service as a shop mechanic.
John is survived and missed by his loving wife Gale (Dacus); and his children, Karen (Ariel) Padilla and Christopher (Jennifer) Dacus. Forever cherished and joyfully "Pappy" to his Grandchildren, Amanda (Kyle) Kulla, Skyler (Bri) Dacus and Alishea Padilla, Nathan (Rachel) Magnoski, Corey Pesta and Alex Oestreich, 7 Great Grandchildren and 4 Siblings. He will also be missed by the entire Dacus family.
He was strong willed and stubborn at times, but he also had an enormous heart. He was clever and full to the brim with knowledge gained through all of his life experiences: Classic car enthusiast, golfer, mechanic, fisherman, private pilot, world traveler and tinkerer - he could fix build anything (as long as it was made from metal or plastic). His entire family and friends enjoyed the decades at our cabin in Pine City and some at our home in Texas. His passion for his classic car and golf was never ending.
Come celebrate the life and legacy of
