John was born March 2, 1942 in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. He was a proud US Navy Veteran. John retired from Northwest Airlines as a machinist and in his spare time, he loved to fish, hunt and play pinochle. John loved his family more than anything and his sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him. Preceded in death by his parents, Telesphore and Elsie; and his sister, Mary Meysembourg. Survived by daughter, Lisa Carpentier of Virginia, Rachel (Thomas) Rydel of Woodbury, Pam (Thomas) Spencer of St. Paul and John (Rhonda) Carpentier II of River Falls, WI; 9 grandchildren, Shelby, Matthew, Jordan, Jacob, Madison, Sebastian, Gabrielle, Chase and Molly; 10 siblings, Jean, Philip, Nancy, Suzanne, Richard, Janice, Robert, Kathryn, Karen and Debra; step-children; and many other family and friends. Visitation 4-8PM on Monday, March 2, 2015 at Mueller Memorial, 4738 Bald Eagle Ave., White Bear Lake. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30AM on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, 4741 Bald Eagle Ave., White Bear Lake, with second visitation one hour prior to Mass at the church. Interment, Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
