Loving Husband, Dad, Grandpa and Great-Grandpa
John was born on May 25, 1932 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Clarence and Marie Beckstrom (nee Anderson). He graduated from Johnson High School and was a dedicated member of the United States Navy for four years. John worked as a computer technician at UNISYS after coming back from overseas. John married the love of his life, Louise (nee Cardinal) on October 6, 1956 at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church and they moved to White Bear Lake. His contagious smile will be forever remembered by his family. John was an excellent woodworker and loved to make model airplanes as well. He was a proud member and volunteer of the VFW, the American Legion, the Food shelf and he always ushered for church. John's favorite place was the North Shore. He enjoyed woodworking, playing in softball leagues, reading and of course Minnesota's sports teams, the Wild and Twins. He had a great sense of humor and was always willing to lend a hand; he was polite, respectful, a devoted husband, caring father, and an amazing grandpa/great-grandpa.
