JoAnn Hoppe

JoAnn Mary Hoppe (née Gnerer) passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 21, 2025, at the age of 80.

JoAnn was born on February 4, 1945, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, to Joseph and Everetta Gnerer. Throughout her life, JoAnn touched the hearts of many with her presence and dedication to family.

JoAnn is survived by her loving husband, Gerald Hoppe; daughters Sherri Grundhofer (Dan), Terri Hurt (Dale), and Jodi Wresh; sons Jerry Hoppe (Melissa), and Douglas Hoppe (Michelle); brother Rodney Gnerer (Dawn); 15 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends. JoAnn has joined in heaven her parents, Joseph and Everetta Gnerer; brother Roger Gnerer; and sister Jane Hinton.

A memorial service will be held on March 4, 2025, at Mueller Memorial, located at 4738 Bald Eagle Ave., White Bear Lake, Minnesota. A gathering will take place from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a service at 6:00 PM.

JoAnn "Jo-Jo" will forever be missed, but her love, strength, and uplifting spirit will remain in the hearts of those lucky enough to have known her. Rest in peace, dear JoAnn; your legacy of love will live on through us all.
