Joan J. OLSON

Age 87 of White Bear Lake, formerly Vadnais Heights MN, passed away at home surrounded by family on January 12th. 2024. Joan was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She lived a wonderful full life showing nothing less than love, selflessness, and patience. Her immense love for the Lord led her to serving many years as a Sunday school teacher. She also took great pride in being a grandmother, spending most spare moments creating new memories with them. In her downtime you could find Joan reading a good book, enjoying a cup of hot coffee, watching football or outside gardening! She was an avid crafter loving to work with stamps, markers and paints. When she wanted to unwind a bit, you could find her at the North Shore enjoying the serenity found on the water as the ships strolled in. She will be deeply missed by her sons Rodney (Linda), Todd (Cris), Rick (Kelly) & daughter in-law Jean. Sister Jan. Grandchildren Tony, Amanda, Tabitha, Angela, Meghan, Ian, Jaxon (great grandchild), Nick, Collin and many family & friends.

Preceded in death by husband of 63 yrs Willard (Bill), son Mike, brother in-law Ridge Sr and nephew Ridge, mother Delores, mother in-law Margaret and father in-law Harold.

Memorial Service 11am on Saturday, February 3rd. Visitation beginning at 10am. Both at New Life Evangelical Lutheran Church in Shoreview.
