Joan Harrod

Joan L'Laine Harrod "Joanie" was born on September 9, 1949 in St. Paul, MN and passed away peacefully at home on December 21, 2023 at the age of 74 years. She is preceded in death by her daughter Elizabeth; parents Edmund & Mary Frances Schmidt; brother Skip and sister-in-law Nancy Renslow. Joanie is survived by husband William; son Ty (Beth); son-in-law Richard Parr; grandchildren Ella, Zachary, Samantha & Trevor; siblings Gregg Schmidt & Marne Johnson (Patrick) and other relatives & friends. Joanie will be remembered for her love of her grandkids and spending time cooking and baking. Funeral Service will be Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 11:00 am at ST. ANDREW'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 900 Stillwater Road, Mahtomedi with visitation one hour before. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to University of Minnesota Masonic Cancer Center.
