Jerry Allen Stiles
"That's a keeper!"
Jerry was born at Bethesda Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota on June 10, 1945. He was the son of Dorothy J. Stoltzman and Alfred C. Stiles. When he was younger and growing up in Mahtomedi, he was a tap dancer. He continued to love dancing throughout his entire life. Jerry was a kind and generous man who would have given a stranger the shirt off his back. If anyone needed help, Jerry was the first to volunteer as he absolutely loved being around people. Throughout his life, Jerry was self-employed as a carpenter and painter but when he was not working, he enjoyed spending his time outdoors. Particularly, his favorite thing to do outside was fishing. He would go fishing anywhere he could whether it was Bald Eagle Lake or taking his family and friends up north to fish. Jerry was an avid traveler and would take the train or bus out of town whenever possible. He had family out in Florida and California and went to see them quite often. His family was the center of his life and he enjoyed spending time with them, playing cards, going to the movies, or gambling at the slot machines. He had a miniature Pinscher/Yorkie dog named Rebel and he meant the world to him. Jerry had a great sense of humor and he was always trying to pull a fast one on family and friends with different pranks. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred (Adelle) Stiles and Dorothy (Robert Feeney) Stiles. He is survived by his three children, Jerry Stiles of Prescott, WI, Ken (Carrie) Stiles of Linwood, MN, and Peggy (Chad) Magle of Cottage Grove, MN; his grandchildren, Shantel Stiles, Amanda Stiles, Faith Stiles, Kaley Stiles, Kenzie Stiles, Chelsey Breault, and Chad âCJâ Magle; his great grandsons, Joseph and Carter; his siblings, Doris (the late James âJimâ) Barry, Alfred (Mary) Stiles, and Donna
(Marv) Kleinschmidt; his nephews, Johnny and Joe; his nieces, Terry, Barbara, Julie, Tammy, and Dana; and many other family and friends.
