Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather
Age 85, of Rush City, MN (formerly of White Bear Lake, MN), passed away on May 28, 2024 surrounded by family and care staff. U.S. Army Veteran. Jerry was a wonderful father and papa and such a bright light in everyone's lives. He was always ready to tell a good story and joke around. He loved to listen to music and this became his comfort his last few years. He had a passion for fishing which he passed along to his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Nancy (Bolner) Haigh; parents, Jerome Haigh and Helen (Schrantz) Haigh; sister, Jean Staples; and great-grandson, Ethan. He is survived by children, Robert, Michael, Lynn (Chris) Courtright, Bridget Richardson; daughter-in-law, Rose Haigh; grandchildren, Jasmine (Steven), Tim (Taylor), Mitchell (Cassidy), Joe, Brittany, Sophie (Edis) and Matt; great-grandchildren, Teddy, Forest, Lucas, Flora and Bauer; brother, Richard Haigh; sister, Mary Haigh; brother-in-law, Kelly Bolner and sister-in-law, Ellen Bensel; as well as other family and friends. A Special thank you to the staff at Rusheba Station/Memory Care Unit and St. Croix Hospice for your care and compassion. A Gathering will be on Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 2-5PM with a memorial service starting at 4PM at the Mueller Memorial Funeral Home in White Bear Lake, MN. Private Burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in July 2024. Memorials preferred to St. Croix Hospice, North Branch location and Let's Go Fishing, East Central Chapter.
