Jason William Gonzalez
1969 - 2023
Jason passed away unexpectedly at home on December 3, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents (Joseph and Helen Gonzalez), his mother-in-law (Kristie Throgmorton), along with extended relatives. He is survived by his loving wife Heidi, teen son Tony, brother Joe, and many other relatives, colleagues, and friends.
Jason spent his career as an educator of the theater arts communications, most recently guiding students at Anoka-Ramsey CC. He was a lifelong sports fan, and was particularly supportive of the MN Vikings and the MN Twins (even when they didn't deserve it) - something he passed on and shared with his son. They often engaged in hours long conversations, much to Heidi's feigned enjoyment. He, along with some of his closest friends (Mike, Mike, and Gary) shared a yearly quest to visit every baseball stadium in the U.S. He was an avid music fan, and his "mind palace" came in quite handy at weekly trivia nights.
Jason loved all of this, but the thing he was most passionate about was his family. Heidi and Tony were the center of his world. He was selfless in his efforts to provide and make their life joyous. He asked for little and always delivered much.
He led by example; he instilled knowledge to many; and he will be missed by all who had the honor to know him.
"Our death is not an end if we can live on in our children and in the younger generations." - Albert Einstein
