Janice (Simi) Seifred
May 8, 1940 - April 2, 2024
Janice Mae (Simi) Seifred passed away peacefully at the age of 83 on April 2nd after a tough battle with Alzheimer's disease.
She was preceeded in death by her parents William and Mae, step mother Verna, and siblings Carol and Charles (Alice) Simi.
She is survived by children Bradley Hoggatt and Tara Ulness, grandchildren Brice, Julia, Jason, Justin, Ella and brother Dennis (Del) Simi.
Jan worked at Target for the last 18 years of her working life. She enjoyed working there, but her passion was in the
food business. She won multiple 'Manager of the Year' awards in her 10 years at Orange Julius, and at Paul's Cafe in
Hugo, she was known for her amazing omelets. She even owned her own restaurant, The Square Peg, in Minneapolis for a while.
To say she was a hard worker would be an understatement.
Jan raised two children on her own and never complained. She was an amazing mother and grandmother and an even more amazing woman.
A very proud Finn and one of her favorite lines was, 'Because I'm a stubborn Finlander!'. She would never let anyone forget that St. Urho's Day
was just as important as St. Patrick's Day. She will be greatly missed.
Come join us for a Celebration of Life and remembrance on her birthday, Wednesday May 8th, from 4-8.
Her son Brad will be hosting a casual evening of just remembering a wonderful woman.
