James Tischler

James "Jim" Tischler, 92, of St. Paul, passed away peacefully on Monday, 11/27/2023, in his home surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by sons, Chuck and Paul. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Eleanor; children, Lynn, Larry (Brenda), Patrice, Steve (Debbie); many grandchildren; great grandchildren; and other family and friends.

Jim was an Army Veteran, Rice Street native, avid gardener, and lover of pets, children and good humor.

Funeral mass will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, 12/7/2023, at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, 4741 Bald Eagle Ave, White Bear Lake, MN 55110 with visitation from 10 AM until time of Mass. Family interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to St. Jude Children Research Hospital.

 God looked around his garden- And found an empty place,

He then looked down upon the earth- And saw your tired face.

He put his arms around you -And lifted you to rest.

God's garden must be beautiful -He always takes the best.

He knew that you were suffering -He knew you were in pain.

He knew that you would never - Get well on earth again.

He saw the road was getting rough - And the hills were hard to climb.

So he closed your weary eyelids - And whispered, 'Peace be thine'.
