James C. "Jim" Overson

James C. Overson, known affectionately as Jim, Big Jim, and Tex, age 85 of Bloomington, MN, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2024. Jim grew up in St. Peter, MN, but spent many cherished years in Bloomington, MN, where he was a beloved member of his family and community.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Clara, and siblings Marian, Leverne, Eunice, Harlan, Beatrice, and Larry. Jim is survived by his sister-in-law, Karen Overson, along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews who will hold him dear in their hearts.

In honor of Jim's memory, the family requests if memorials are to be made, make them to St. Joseph's Indian School, PO Box 100, Chamberlain, SD 57325. Jim will be deeply missed, and as we say our goodbyes, we'll remember his own words, as we bid farewell, "Taker easy." Rest well and Godspeed.
