James Lemay

James Lemay, age 81 of White Bear Lake. Longtime Local 61 member.

Passed away unexpectedly on March 11, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; infant daughter, Donna Jean; grandson, Brandon; and son-in-law, John Wanless. He is survived by his children, Jimmy (Lauren), Lance (Carey), Wendy (Joe) Anderson, and Holli Wanless; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jim lived in White Bear Lake his whole life. He was the youngest son of William and Olive LeMay.  He had two older brothers Bill and Jack, and an older sister Norma Jean (Peachy). Because his mom was a faithful member of St. Mary's Church, she called him her miracle child because he was not planned.

Jim grew up going to St. Mary of the Lake and then he attended White Bear Lake High School where he met the love of his life, Nancy.  They were married July 23rd, 1960.  Jim really loved to be outdoors hunting, fishing, camping, gardening and golfing.  He had a great love for animals, and he fed them all.  Jim knew the species of every bird he would see.  He loved playing Cribbage and Euchre.  Jim had many friends and was the life of the party.  He had a magical way of telling stories and jokes.  Jim will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held at 5 PM on Friday, March 22, 2024 at Mueller Memorial, 4738 Bald Eagle Ave, White Bear Lake, with visitation from 3 PM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
