James (Jimi) Giles Hildebrand

James “Jimi” Giles Hildebrand skēpakanakatōk “thunderbird first striker” Age 21 Passed away November 11, 2015 Born on September 4, 1994 in Maplewood. His passion was writing. He was a creative, gifted and prolific writer, currently working on a novel. Jimi was a member of the Bois Forte Band of Chippewa. He enjoyed hunting and the great outdoors. Survived by mother, Wendi Strong; father, Daniel (Patty Hall) Hildebrand; brother, Eliot Sweere; sister, Hannah Hildebrand; step-brother, William Warren-Hall; paternal grandparents, Jim & Peggy Hildebrand; maternal grandparents, Linda Isham and Gary Strong; paternal great grandmothers, Marion Hildebrand and Eileen Giles; numerous aunts, uncles, and many other special relatives; along with his pet dog, Kaycie, who he affectionately called his “little sister.” A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015 from 2-6 PM with a Time of Sharing at 4 PM. The time of sharing will be a time for friends and family to share stories and fond memories of Jimi with the group. If you have memories and feel comfortable sharing, we would love to hear them.
