Irene D Monaghan (Greenwaldt)

Irene Doris Monaghan Age 84 of White Bear Township Passed Away at Home on March 5, 2017 Irene was born in Bertha Township, Minnesota on August 4, 1932. She was one of ten children to Angie (nee Riley) and Alfred Greenwaldt. She worked full time at Kendalls Supermarket in North St. Paul and eventually retired from there. When the kids were little, Irene was known for her phenomenal cooking. She was very outgoing and enjoyed going to social events. Her favorite types of gatherings were any that would bring her together with her family. Irene passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, March 5, 2017. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Monaghan; her son, Timothy Monaghan; her parents, Alfred and Angie; and five siblings. She will be dearly missed by her son, John Monaghan of Hugo; her three grandchildren, Nick, Keith, and Jess; her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth; three brothers; one sister; and other family and friends. There will be a gathering for family and friends from 12:00PM-1:00PM on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Mueller Memorial, 4738 Bald Eagle Ave., White Bear Lake, with a service at 1:00PM. Interment and prayers to follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Mahtomedi.
