Henry Dennis Flasch, born on 9-17-27, in Dexter township, Richland County, North Dakota to parents, Henry George Flasch and Anna Cecelia Arth Flasch and grew up on a farm near Lidgerwood, ND. Valedictorian of his high school class, he spent one year working on the farm before joining the United States Army Air Force, where he served for three years and was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant in 1949.
He then moved to Saint Paul Minnesota, and with the help of the GI Bill attended Saint Thomas college and Saint Paul College of Law (now Mitchell Hamline). He has a distinguished career with the law firm of Doherty Rumble Butler in Saint Paul, MN and practiced in the area of real estate, commercial law and probate.
He married the love of his life, Maryann Hunn Flasch in 1952 and they enjoyed 50 years of marriage. They raised two children, Mark Flasch, COL (R), Ret. (Pamela), of Beaufort, SC, and Barbara Flasch (Allen Berning) of Rochester, MN.
He is also survived by granddaughter, Anna Wolford CFP (Nic) and step-granddaughter's Katie Berning, Pharm.D. (Eric Kijak), Kelsey Berning (Sam Kingsley) and Michelle Berning, M.D. (Matt Brown, Ph.D.)
Henry was a talented amateur photographer, hunter and fisherman, loved global travel, astronomy, and was a faithful member of the Roman Catholic Church. In his later years, he appreciated living at Saint Therese of Woodbury and listening to Minnesota Public Radio.
