Helene (Nono) Elizabeth Vento Eckl

ECKL (nee VENTO) Helene Elizabeth Mother, Grandma, Great-Grandma and Friend Passed Away Peacefully on February 26, 2015 Helene retired from the State Department as a secretary. She was a member of the old St. Ambrose Parish and within her groups, Helene always happily volunteered to be the secretary. She took many trips to Italy to visit her family. More than anything, Helene adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she was an important part of their lives. Even until the end, she kept her contagious smile. Preceded in death by parents, Daniel and Phelomena Vento; sister, Mae (Joseph) Sauer; brother, Frank (Ann) Vento; niece, Victoria Vento; and nephews, Bruce Vento and Joel Sauer. Will be dearly missed by her daughter, Nancy (Tom) Koller of North St. Paul; grandchildren, Daniel (Laura), David (Joy) and Stephanie (Bille) Koller; great-grandchildren, Bella, Luci, Nick, Katie and Molly; nieces and nephews, Gail, Dan, Kurt, Frank, Anita, Barb and Andrea; caregivers, Amanda and Lisa; and many other family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial 11AM on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Downtown, 261 8th St. E., St. Paul, with visitation one hour prior to Mass at the church. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the charity of your choice.
