Helen Mae O'Rourke

O’Rourke, Helen Mae Loving and Devoted Mother and Grandmother, Age 87 Died peacefully on 1/8/12 with family at her side. Helen was born to Sherman and Edith Latourelle on 3/19/24 in Mapleton, MN. She was preceded in death by loving husband, Cyril. She is survived by 7 children, Kathleen (John) Adams, Bonnie (Scott) Foster, Daniel O’Rourke, Julie (John) Appert, Peggy (Louis) Balajadia, Terry (Tammy) O’Rourke and Amy (Tim) McNiff; 18 grandchildren, Abe, Seth, Cole, Harmony, Emili, Luke, Nathan, Ben, Sadie, Jon, Ashley, Natalie, Cristina, Lauren, Bridget, Sean, Haley and Abigael; and 9 great-grandchildren! Helen was respected and loved by many nieces, nephews and friends. She was happily employed at St. John’s Hospital for 22 years! Helen was a wonderful cook, gifted gardener and had a unique way to make those she loved feel very special. She will be greatly missed! The family would like to send a special thank you to Woodwinds Hospital ICU and ER Staff. Mass of Christian Burial Friday at 10 am at Guardian Angel’s Catholic Church, 8260 Hudson Blvd N, Oakdale with visitation Thursday from 4 – 7 pm at Mueller Memorial Parkway Chapel, 835 Johnson Parkway at E 7th and 1 hour prior to Mass at the church. Interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the Como Park Conservatory and Friends of FANA (Colombian Orphanage).
