Gregory Stephen Tocko

Gregory Stephen Tocko Age 68 of St. Paul Passed Away December 5, 2017 Greg was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on January 18, 1949, the son of Catherine (nee Huddleston) and Frank Tocko. He attended Cretin High School and enlisted in the United States Army after graduating. Upon his honorable discharge, he returned to St. Paul and began attending courses at the University of Minnesota. He began his career at Sherwin Williams and then became as a clerk at the United States Postal Service in downtown St. Paul. He was a part of the Postal Union while there and retired after over 30 years of employment. When he was not working, he could be found hunting or fishing up in Garrison, Minnesota. Greg was a sports fan and enjoyed watching the Minnesota Vikings play football. He married Pam Schorn (nee Coyne) in Mexico on January 31, 1997 and they were married for almost 21 years. Greg was a matter of fact kind of guy and would tell it how it was. If he liked you, he would stand by your side no matter what. He will be missed by all who knew him. Greg passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, December 5, 2017. He is preceded in death by his parents, Catherine and Frank Tocko. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Pamela Tocko of St. Paul; his sons, Josh Tocko of Nebraska and Justin Tocko of St. Paul; his step-children, Anthony DeMike of West St. Paul and Eric Schorn of West St. Paul; his brother, Bill (Sharon Foley) Tocko of Hugo; his first wife, Kathy (the late Ken Peltier) Tocko-Peltier of Oakdale; his best friend, Rich Kleiss; and many other family and friends. Per Greg’s wishes, there was a private farewell ceremony for his family. There will be military honors at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis at a later date. Memorials are preferred to the family.
