George Edward Shimon

Shimon, George Edward Beloved Father, Grandfather Great- Grandfather, Age 96 Passed away peacefully at the V.A. Hospital on May 24, 2011. He was preceded in death by his wife Eleanore and son Thomas. He is survived by a daughter, Marlene (Ed) Weil; daughter-in-law Mary(Lehnen); grandchildren Ted(Monica) and Kate Weil, Michele (Joseph) Marz, Tammy(Curt Anderson) and Frank(Callie) Shimon; great-grandchildren, Danielle, Tanner, Aveah, Olivia, Jocelyn, Aurora, Toby, and Waytt George. George was a proud member and a past commander of VFW post 1171. Visitation 4-8PM Monday, May 30 at Mueller Memorial Parkway Chapel, 835 Johnson Pkwy at E. 7th St., St Paul, and 1 hour prior to Mass at church. Mass of Christian Burial 10AM Tuesday, May 31 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 840 E. 6th St., St Paul. Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
