Frank Sykes

Frank R. Sykes Age 47 of Woodbury, Minnesota Passed away unexpectedly on February 11, 2016 Frank was born on May 14, 1968 in Chicago, Illinois. He attended Chicago Public Schools and Corliss High School. He moved to Minnesota and worked as a driver for Metro Mobility for 10 years. Frank enjoyed working on automobiles and admired them. He loved to watch sci-fi and play video games. Frank and Carol enjoyed many outdoor activities together. Frank was a family man and worked hard to provide for them. He was a kind and gentle, “the sweetest person you could ever want to know.” Frank is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lucille Sykes Mackey. He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Feaster Sykes; his biological children, Laurie & Frank Sykes Jr., step-children, Tiffany & Tawana Taylor, and Lashon & Carol Smith; grandchildren, Avani Mayers, Carl Groves, Jacob, Jayden, Jayla Stark, and Naomi Ellis; siblings, William Mackey (Tamika), Natasha Mackey, Denise Mackey, and Tracey Mackey; uncle, Theodore Sykes; 13 nieces and nephews; 1 great niece; and many relatives and friends. Visitation 4-8 PM on Friday, February 19, 2016 at Mueller Memorial, 835 Johnson Pkwy., St. Paul. Funeral Service 12 PM with visitation one hour prior to the service on Saturday, February 20, also at the funeral home. Interment Union Cemetery, Maplewood.
