Nelson, Florence Catherine nee Elm Age 88 of St. Paul Passed away October 25, 2011 at the Cerenity-Marian Care Center. Preceded in death by husband of 65 years, Robert. Survived by children, Cynthia (Steven) Broste of Champlin, MN, Claudia Maher of Baltimore, MD, Douglas Nelson of St. Paul, MN; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; life-long friends, Jim & Lois Lund; and many nieces and nephews. Florence was a graduate of Marshall High School in St. Paul, charter member of the Marian Choral Club, artist, photographer and long time member of the St. Paul camera club. A ten-year resident of the Marian Care Center, Florence was always loving, patient, and forgiving, and lived a life of faith and grace. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Cerenity-Marian Center, 200 Earl St., St. Paul, with visitation 1 hr prior to Mass. Interment Ft. Snelling Nat’l Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Cerenity-Marian of Saint Paul.
