Florence Ruth Lawrence (Corrigan)

Florence Ruth Lawrence (nee Corrigan) Age 89 of St. Paul Beloved Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma Florence was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on May 17, 1927 to Elizabeth (nee Franklin) and Clarence Corrigan. She attended Mechanics Arts High School in St. Paul where she met a neighborhood boy, Harold Lawrence. The two were married on May 22, 1950 and moved to St. Louis Park where they had two children, Linda and Billy. They moved back to the St. Paul’s eastside where they had their daughter, Lori. Florence was able to stay at home and raise their three children. She was a very outgoing woman and could make friends very easily. Her and Harold enjoyed fishing and took many trips up to Canada. Her favorite thing to do was shop. Florence passed away peacefully at Kinnic Health Care Center in River Falls, Wisconsin on July 10, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth and Clarence Corrigan; her husband, Harold Lawrence; her siblings; and her son-in-law, Gene Wessel. She will be dearly missed by her children, Billy (Shelly) Lawrence, Linda Wessel, and Lori (Tom) Ricci; her grandchildren, Gina Lawrence, Jim (Michele Hovde) Erickson, Jennie Fisher, Alissa Wessel, Nathan Lawrence, and Ceili Lawrence; her four great-grandchildren, Cody, Kelsey, Vanessa, and Annalissa; and many other family and friends. There will be a service to celebrate Florence’s life at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 18, 2016 at Mueller Memorial, 835 Johnson Parkway, St. Paul with a gathering one hour before the service. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
