Welsch, Eugene “Gene” Sr. Decorated WWII Vet Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 5, 2012. Jack of all trades. Loyal family man. Devout Catholic. Took pride in everything he did. Preceded in death by his parents and siblings. Survived by wife, Lydia Welsch; children, Joan (Chris) Stahlmann, Bernie (Dave) Hrobochak, Ann (Mike) Thomas, Tony (Rachelle) Welsch Jr., Dan Welsch, Brad Welsch, Nick (Marlie) Welsch; grandchildren, A.J., Will, Michael, Jacob, Taylor, Charlie, Gabby, James; very special nieces and nephews; Lisa and Kristi. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM September 8, 2012 at Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 1725 Kennard Street, St. Paul. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM TODAY at Mueller Parkway Chapel, 835 Johnson Pkwy, St. Paul and one hour prior to the time of the Mass Saturday at the church. Interment Calvary Cemetery, St. Paul. Thank you to Twin Cities Hospice, especially Rick, Monique and Alice and to Alliance Respite Care, especially Paul and Debbie. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
