Esther "Elayne" Continenza (Eastman)

ESTHER “ELAYNE” CONTINENZA (nee Eastman) Age 83 of St. Paul, Minnesota Loving Wife, Mother and Grandma Elayne was born on December 20, 1932 in St. Paul to Esther (nee Harkness) and Albert Eastman. She was the youngest of three lively girls. Elayne attended Central High School and was a member of the Reunion Planning Committee for the Class of 1950. She married Louis F. Continenza and they had five children together. Elayne was a lifetime resident of St. Paul’s Eastside and was an excellent business partner at Mounds Park Auto Supply. Outside of work and her family, she was a phenomenal cook, friend, and scout leader. She also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and being an avid Minnesota Twins baseball fan. She was a longtime member of St. Pascal Baylon Catholic Church and was a part of the church choir. Elayne absolutely adored her family and loved get-togethers. Elayne entered eternal heaven peacefully on Saturday, February 6, 2016 with her family by her side. She is preceded in death by her mother, Esther; and her sisters, Ruth and Grace. She will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 60 years, Louis Continenza; her dear children, Christine Howard, Stephen (Aubrey) Continenza, Cindy (Rick) Main, Michael (Shari) Continenza, and Julie (Chip) Brown; her grandchildren, Christy Smith, Donald “D.J.” Pnewski, Louis Continenza, Hailey Continenza, Sadie Continenza, Kevin Klover, Greg Howard, Angela Simonson, Kelly McQuiston, Laura Veum, Richard Main, Alicia Continenza, Jessica Continenza, Zachary Sommer, and Daniel Sommer; and many other family and friends. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 2:00-6:00PM on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Mueller Memorial, 835 Johnson Parkway, St. Paul. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30AM on Monday, February 15, 2016 at St. Pascal Baylon Catholic Church, 1757 Conway Street, St. Paul, with a second visitation one hour prior to Mass at church. Interment, Union Cemetery of Maplewood.
