FOHRMAN (nee D’ANNUNZIO)
Elvira Rose “Ronnie”
Longtime Resident of Little Canada
Passed Away January 19, 2016 at Age 90
Elvira was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on December 18, 1925 to Rose and Attillio D’Annunzio. She was raised in Philadelphia while surrounded by her Italian heritage. Throughout her life, Elvira was a caretaker to her children and later, her grandchildren. After her four kids grew up, she went to work at a candy factory to keep busy. Elvira loved to garden flowers and vegetables, teach her grandkids how to play poker, watch the Minnesota Twins play baseball, and listen to Italian music or Frank Sinatra. She had an amazing sense of humor and always kept those around her smiling. Elvira was always positive no matter the circumstances and she never complained. The center of her world was her family and spending time with them. She will be remembered for her love for life and positivity. She will be missed deeply by all who knew her.
Elvira passed away on January 19, 2016, with her children by her side. She was residing at Cerenity Care Center in White Bear Lake at the time. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rose and Attillio D’Annunzio; and her close sister, Josephine Wiegel. She will be dearly missed by her children, Joseph (Carole) Fohrman of Cottage Grove, Barb (Bill) Gruber of White Bear Lake, John (Chris Caldwell) Fohrman of Andover, and Patty (Bill) Deyo of White Bear Lake; her 10 dear grandchildren; her 21 darling great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild to come in March; her sister, Mary Palidino of Philadelphia; her brother, Dominic D’Annunzio; and many other family and friends.
There will be a celebration of Elvira’s life at Cerenity Care Center, 1900 Webber Street, White Bear Lake. The visitation will be from 9:30AM until the 11:00AM Mass of Christian Burial. A reception will follow at the care center.
