ELIZABETH L. ORCHARD (nee Lehmann)
Betty Orchard, age 82 of White Bear Lake, passed away Feb. 22. Loving mom, nana, sister and friend. Betty grew up in South St. Paul, graduating from South St. Paul high school in 1958 with a group of lifelong friends. She went on to receive undergraduate and Master's degrees from St. Catherine University. Intelligent, independent and driven, Betty was immensely proud of her work as a dietitian and educator. She retired in 2001 after a distinguished career at Regions Hospital as director of the dietetic intern program, helping train future dietitians. Later, she worked countless hours as a volunteer for several organizations. Betty is survived by her beloved daughter Amy Orchard Jungbauer (Walter) and cherished grandchildren Nick, Stephen and namesake Elizabeth Jungbauer; sisters Geri Ford and Claudia Hecimovich, godson Aaron Hecimovich as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her parents Elmer & Mary Lehmann and nephew Corey Hecimovich. Special thanks to the wonderful teams at Boutwell's Landing and Lakeview Hospice for their extraordinary and compassionate care.
