Bland, H. Eileen 2/28/1923 – 4/2/2012 WWII Veteran – US Navy Passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends April 2, 2012. Survived by husband of 64 years, Richard; children, Richard (Catherine), Mark (Hiroko, Gary (Debra), Timothy (Kimberly); 9 grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Member American Legion Post 39 of North St. Paul and VFW Post 1350 of North St. Paul. Special thanks to AseraCare Hospice; the social workers, nurses, and aides who provided special care. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 2119 Stillwater Avenue East. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of the Mass at church on Tuesday. Private family interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.
