Earle Maendler
Age 84, passed peacefully on August 11, 2022. Lifelong proud resident of St. Paul, born in Owatonna, Minnesota. He attended Central High School and met GeorgAnn Nienaber at Hamline University. They married in 1958 and soon started a family.
He was a salesman for Banker's Life, U.S. Bedding King Koil and Lintex.
He is preceded in death by his brothers Jim and Tom Russell, sister Judy and nephew Mark Smith.
Survived by wife GeorgAnn, son Jeff, daughter Barb (Greg) Lulic and son Brad (Marylee), nephews Jim, Mike and Scott Smith, grandchildren Regina (Patrick), Carson (Julia), Neale, Cole, Trent, Cameron and Mia, great-grandchildren Owen, Shae, Pearle and Marlee, brother Rick.
He either played on or coached football, basketball and softball teams for over 35 years after college. Coaching and instilling kids, including his own children and grandchildren, with an enthusiasm for sports was truly his calling. He also loved to get out and watch his grandkids in all their endeavors. He was a wonderful and funny husband of 64 years, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Visitation August 24th, 2022 from 4-7pm at Mueller Memorial Funeral Home, 835 Johnson Pkwy, St. Paul, MN. Celebration of Life service, August 25th, at 2pm (1:30pm visitation prior, reception immediately following) at Christ United Methodist Church at 2500 Hudson Place, Maplewood, MN. Interment at a later date in Oakland Cemetery, St. Paul, MN.
