Duane Lindabaur

October 11, 1932 — October 21, 2024

Duane "Bud" Lindabaur, age 92, of Saint Paul passed away peacefully on October 21, 2024. He is survived by his children, Lynn (Jeff) Wilson, Michael (Janice) Lindabaur, Lisa (Todd) Lindabaur-Zrucky; grandchildren Daniel Lindabaur, Thomas (Gretta) Lindabaur, Katie (Genevieve) Farley, Annie Farley, Kevin Farley, and Emelie Lindabaur; great grandchildren Leo Lindabaur and Letti Lindabaur, and best friend since childhood Jimmy Nagel as well as many wonderful nieces & nephews. He also leaves behind his beloved cat, Lily. He is preceded in death by his wife of 69 years Dolores "Dee" Lindabaur (Jacobson) and sisters Ruth Bremer, Arlene Swanson, Carol Johson, and Betty Chilko

Bud was born October 11th, 1932, to Arthur and Adele (Molkenbur) Lindabaur. A proud Eastsider, he graduated from Johnson High School in 1950 before joining the U.S. Marine Corps. He met his wife Dee on a blind date and they married in May 1955.

After his service Bud began a long career with Northern States Power Company managing work crews, fitting pipes, and saving the city of St. Paul from a gas explosion during his time with NSP. Bud had a song for every situation, and he loved to dance and watch any TV show with monkeys in it. He enjoyed a long retirement with family where he perfected the art of frying up Grandpa Fries and always paid close attention to the weather.

With heavy hearts we say so long to a good man who touched the hearts of many during his 92 years on Earth. 'Til we meet again- all our love.

The family will say goodbye with a private graveside ceremony on Wednesday, October 30th.
