Douglas Fitzgerald

Douglas "Doug" Fitzgerald, age 67, of Saint Paul, Minnesota passed away peacefully on Sunday December 15th, 2024. Doug was born on June 10th, 1957 to Robert and Shirley Fitzgerald. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jack, Timmy and Jim; and sisters, Mary Kay, Shirley and Barb. Survived by his wife, Katherine Fitzgerald; sons, Dan, Bill (Elysha), Joey, and Kevin (Katie); four grandchildren; and siblings, Bob, Pat, Donny and Jeff. Douglas met his wife, Katherine, in 1978 and later married on April 25th, 1980. Douglas loved his family. His wife and sons were his world. He enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing, watching his son's sporting events and just being around his huge family. He is known for making everyone around him laugh and smile especially cracking all the jokes he could. Douglas and his brother Tim ran a successful siding business called "Fitz Rite Siding" for many years. Once Douglas decided to retire, he then turned the business over to his son Bill to take over. He is definitely going to be missed by many! Visitation from 4-6PM on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Mueller Memorial, 835 Johnson Parkway, St. Paul, with a prayer service starting at 6PM.
