Dorothy Ann Green Hughes

Dorothy Ann Hughes (Green) Age 87 of White Bear Lake, Minnesota Passed away on March 18, 2015 at the Pillars Hospice House in Oakdale, MN. Dorothy was born on January 7, 1928 in Duluth. Dorothy’s best friend, Trisha, introduced Dorothy to her brother, Emmet. Dorothy and Emmet fell in love and married in 1950. They had four children: Katherine Ann, Robert Emmet, Charles Michael and Thomas Patrick. In their retirement, Emmet and Dorothy enjoyed time in Tucson, Arizona but returned to White Bear Lake. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Emmet; and her parents, Mae and Edward. Will be dearly missed by her four children, Kathy Sandberg (Nalani McCutcheon), Bob (Jodie) Hughes, Chuck (Joni) Hughes, and Tom (Jody) Hughes; nine grandchildren, John Sandberg, Shelly (BJ) Cole, Patrick Hughes, Jake Hughes, Molly Hughes, Megan (Adam) Rini, Kaitlin Hughes, Kaija (Eric)Younger and Nick Wilson; five great-grandchildren: Ayden Cole, Isabelle Cole, Madilyn Cole, Amelie Youngner, and Linden Youngner; her sister, Sister Mary Lawrence; and brother-in-law, Elsworth "Tiny" Paulson. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 AM on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at St. Pius the X Catholic Church, 3878 Highland Ave., White Bear Lake with visitation from 10AM until the time of Mass at the church.
