Dolores B. "Lala" Schwartz (Fischbach)

Dolores B. Schwartz (formerly Dolores B. Witha) “Lala” - Age 90 of St. Paul Passed Away Peacefully at Home On Wednesday, April 13, 2016 Dolores was born on July 10, 1925 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Susie (nee Schwebach) and John Fischbach. Dolores graduated high school and then attended sewing school. She worked for many years in the laundry department at Sholom Nursing Home. She married Joseph Witha and they had seven children together. Outside of work and her family, Dolores loved to sew, read, go to the casino, play cards, and watch movies (her favorite was Gone with the Wind). Her personality will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was a spit fire and could be stubborn and spunky. However, her caring and compassionate side always came out because she would always help anyone. Dolores is preceded in death by her parents, Susie and John; her first husband, Joseph Witha; her second husband, James Schwartz; her sister, Elaine Misita; her two sons, Dean and James Witha; and her daughter, Pam Carlson. She is survived by her four children, Debbie Drevecky of Maplewood, Mary (Paul) Meyer of Virginia, MN, Jane (Tom) Connolly of St. Paul, MN, and John (Sue) Witha of Isles, MN; her grandchildren, Chris Carlson, Jason Carlson, Gina Gist and Kevin Loye (their son, Cory Loye), Heather Strachota (her children, Matthew and Elizabeth Strachota), April and Roger Marks (their son, Ben Marks), Tammy and Dave Angeloni (their children, Justin Meyer and Madelyn Angeloni), Andrea and Derek Dees (their children, Courtney Connolly and Emma Dees), Amanda Connolly (her son, Thomas Palumbo), Kelly and Jordan LaMotte (their children, Zach, Sidney, Miley and Carly LaMotte), Adam Connolly and Heather Behr, Dawn and Andrew Plessel (their son, Ben Plessel), Joey Witha, and Lindsay Kaufman (her children, Giuliana, Dominic, and Dakota); and other family and friends. There will be a private interment for family at Forest Lawn Cemetery in St. Paul.
