Dodie will be remembered for her devotion to her faith, husband and family foremost. In the summer of 1952 âThe bride to beâ traveled to Shephard Airforce Base in Texas to be married on the 4th of July to the love of her life. This was the only day the Uni ted States Airforce would let Tom off work. They should have known when they started their life out with âfireworksâ it would be a marriage (and family) anything but dull. Dodie genuinely loved life and all it had to offer especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren and family gatherings at 1882 Dieter St. and âKurzâs Koveâ. Dodie was a ânaturalâ at caring for others and never said, ânoâ. She was an excellent nurse and was âat homeâ in her role at the hospital. Dodie loved serving her church especially supporting unborn babies. She loved to travel with the âelite groupâ, to las Vegas with Tom and friends ,Summer vacation with the Moores (even âlook at the Kurzs goâ) songâ,Kurz Kidsâ Weekends⦠but her favorite was Hawaii, where she wore her "moo mooâ proudly. Dodie loved to laugh, listen to music and boy could she dance -her favorite exercise of all. Her love of life will forever be in the hearts of her family, friends and all who knew her. We love you âso muchâ and watch over us until we see you again.
