Dionicio, "Nicho" or "Nick", was born in Carrizo Springs, Dimmit County, Texas on June 14, 1926, the son of Lorenzo & Josefa (Duran) Puente. Nick passed away unexpectedly at the age of 98. Nick retired from Saint Paul Housing Authority at age 66 where he worked as a housing maintenance worker. He enjoyed fishing and playing cribbage. Nick was married to Guadalupe (Vega) on April 21, 1950, in Carrizo Springs, Texas. While life was a challenge, Nick and Guadalupe remained together for 75 years. He is survived by wife, Guadalupe; daughters, Olga (Ernesto) Zuniga, Catalina Borja, Marta Puente, and Dora Alicia Puente; sons, Dionicio Jr. (Jacqueline) Puente, Eduardo (Carol Hall) Puente, Lorenzo (Linda) Puente, Ernesto (Berta) Puente and Jorge Puente; 33 grandchildren; 68 great-gradchildren; and one sibling. Dionicio was preceded in death by his sons, Luis & Armando; daughter, Guadalupe; granddaughters, Noemi Avila and Nikki Lopshire; and grandsons, Napoleon Fuentes and Jose Puente; and ten siblings. Nick will be missed by his immediate and extended family and many friends. Rest in peace.

Visitation will be held from 4-7pm on WEDNESDAY, April 16, 2025 at Mueller Memorial Funeral Home, 835 Johnson Parkway, St. Paul, MN 55106. Funeral Service will be at 12pm on FRIDAY, April 18, 2025 at Mueller Memorial Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment at Roselawn Cemetery, Roseville, MN.
