Diane Winkler

Diane Rae Winkler (nee Hartwick) “Grandma Di” Age 85 of St. Paul Passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on November 22, 2016. Preceded in death by parents, Quinton and Kathleen Hartwick; and husband of 63 years, Louis. Will be dearly missed by children, Cindy (Rick) Wriskey, Nancy (Steve) Trost, Gary (Katie), Kelly (Amy), and Cheryl (Jim) Hagen; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Jodie, Bryan, Kevin, Cortney, Cory, Alyssa, Taylor, Kyleigh, and Carter; great-grandchildren, Dominic, Sheldon, Caroline, Landon, Anika, and Savanah; brother, Jon (Marjorie) Hartwick; and many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Diane was passionate about the St. Paul Winter Carnival and was the Senior Queen of Northland in 1996. She was also proud to be the first woman in the US to ever serve as a District Commissioner within the Babe Ruth Baseball League. Gathering of family and friends from 3:00-7:30PM on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Mueller Memorial, 835 Johnson Parkway, St. Paul with a service to celebrate Diane’s life at 5:30PM. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
