Survived by parents, Max and Dawn; paternal grandmother, Carmen Bellis; companion, Sarah Christopherson; lifelong friend, Luke Miller; longtime friends, Shawn Kaar and Nick Heidenreich; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation on Tuesday from 4 – 8 pm at Mueller Memorial Parkway Chapel, 835 Johnson Parkway at East 7th, St. Paul with a time of sharing at 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Derek was truly the light of his parent’s lives.
