David Joseph Scheffler

February 25, 1961-June 2, 2022

Dave Scheffler, 61, of Lino Lakes, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 2, 2022.  He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer.  He is survived by his wife, Mary; daughters, Hannah and Isabelle; mother, Rita; sister, Nancy (Harold); sister, Jean (Paul); nieces, Sara and Emily; in-laws, Marilyn Zebe, Steve Hofius family, Lori Wengler family, Rebecca Marx family, Tom Hofius family.

Dave and Mary recently celebrated 25 years of marriage.  He was a generous and loving husband who was always there for his family.  In Hannah and Isabelle’s words: “As a father, he was the most supportive dad anyone could ask for.  If we ever told him we wanted to do something to expand our life experiences he never hesitated to help us make it happen.  Whenever we would make jokes or have doubts about what we wanted to do in life he would always reassure us or tell us that everything would work itself out and that we would be okay.”

Dave had a long and fulfilling career with Medtronic where he held various roles, primarily in Finance.  He developed many lifelong friendships and loved playing on the Medtronic co-ed softball and volleyball teams.

In his retirement Dave enjoyed wintering in Arizona, long walks with Mary, playing golf, and pickle ball.  More than anything he enjoyed spending time with friends and family.  His calming presence, sense of humor, and infectious laugh will be deeply missed.
