Dave loved life and had the biggest personality, filling rooms with his presence. He brought joy to those he met. Strangers would often approach him to start conversations. He had a kind spirit, giving often to anyone who needed help and many times on the spur of the moment. He was an avid learner, overcoming his dyslexia to learn how to read, scuba diving, piloting an airplane, oil painting, drawing, photographing, woodworking and constructing from metal. He had an avid interest in anything mechanical and would delve into the workings of machinery. He was an inventor, building unique tools and creating ways to solve mechanical problems. He was a connoisseur of ice cream. His energy was endless when it came to music and dancing. And yet, he found his peace in nature, camping, hiking and exploring new places. He loved his pets immensely and grieved deeply when they passed away. He was fearless in living his life to the fullest. Dave loved his wife, his soulmate, with every fiber of his being, giving the best bear hugs ever. A Time of Sharing will begin at 11am on Tuesday, November 12 in Resurrection Cemetery's Mausoleum Chapel, 2101 Lexington Ave. S., Mendota Heights, MN 55120. Dave's burial will take place immediately following the Time of Sharing at Resurrection Cemetery, in their natural burial section.In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree in memory of Dave.
