Daniel James Wright
Beloved Father, Brother, and Friend
Age 43 of Blaine
Daniel passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, March 13, 2017. He was born on May 6, 1973 in St. Paul, Minnesota and was one of three children to George and Karen Wright. He grew up in St. Paul and graduated from Humboldt High School.
Daniel had a wicked sense of humor and loved making people laugh; whether he was doing donuts in his wheelchair in the baseball fields, or giving a friend a ride on the back of his wheelchair there was always plenty of laughs when he was around. He was a devoted father to Zack and step-father to Jacob. Whenever possible, he would always be there when they had events at school and loved to play computer games with them. He was a fan of scary movies and enjoyed the TV show The Walking Dead. He spent all of his time outside whenever he could and loved going to his brother Davidâs cabin in Cromwell, Minnesota. While at the cabin he would fish, go for a ride in the boat, or spend time by the campfire at night. When he wasnât outside, or watching a scary movie, Daniel liked listening to music. Some of his favorites were Journey, KISS, Metallica and ICP.
Daniel is preceded in death by his mother, Karen (nee Carlson) Wright; his brother, Mark Wright; and his son, Joseph Wright. He is survived by his father, George Wright of Texas; his son, Zack Wright of Blaine; his fiancé, Jolene Sande of Blaine; his step-son, Jacob Sande; his brother, David (Linda) Wright of Hastings; his close family friends, Dianna and Gary Sande of Blaine; his family friend and mother of his sons, Lisa Funk;beloved dog, Dakota; and many other family and friends. Daniel was full of life and brought joy and laughter to all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
