Daniel Paul Swetalla

Daniel Paul Swetalla Age 44, passed away surrounded by his family and close friends on 8/22/12. He is survived by his wife, Marie; daughter, Sarah; mother, Diane (James) (nee Kostka) Cook; father, Daniel; siblings, Kim (Chris) Heim, Cheryl (John Strangis) Cook, John (Stacey) Cook and Ted (Fortuna) Cook; godmother/aunt, Marlene Stanke; aunt, Bonnie (Curtis) Galloway; and his nephews and nieces. Dan was a great sports fan and travelled to most major league stadiums to take in games. To say that he was loved by everyone who knew him is no exaggeration. He never made an enemy and people were always commenting on what a nice person he was. He was a perfect son, a model husband and a caring father. He was infused with the spirit of peace, joy, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, temperance and humility. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors and staff of the U of M Bone Marrow Transplant Clinic. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, 8/28/12, 10:30 am at the Cathedral of St. Paul, 239 Selby Ave., St. Paul with visitation from 9 until the time of Mass. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the U of M Blood and Marrow Transplant Clinic in care of “The BMT Family Support Fund”, Phillips-Wangensteen Building, Fifth Floor, Clinic 5B, 516 Delaware St. SE, Minneapolis, MN 55455.
