Clarence John âCJâ Wesely
Age 95 of Moose Lake
Formerly of St. Paulâs Eastside
CJ was born in St. Paul on August 7, 1921, the son of Mary and Lenard Wesely. He graduated from Johnson High School and enlisted in the United States Navy. During his service, he was a radar technician on the USS Schroeder. After his time in the Navy, he went into the coin machine business and eventually owned his own company called KC Sales. His company specialized in pinball machines, jukeboxes, pop vending machines, and any many more coin machines. When he was younger, CJ was an avid golfer throughout golf courses in the Twin Cities. He married Linda Willems and they had three children together. CJ was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for most of his life and only left when he moved out of town. CJ loved to fish and would go up to Detroit Lakes for ice fishing or out to the Black Hills with his kids. Besides work and his family, CJâs passion was with his boat on the St. Croix River. Whenever he had free time, he could be found on the river with family and friends.
CJ passed away unexpectedly on the morning of December 22, 2016. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Lenard Wesely; and two brothers, Benedict "Ben" Wesely and Fr. Eugene Wesely. He will be dearly missed by his sons, Michael âMikeâ (Jeanne) Wesely of Pine City and Bill (Kathy) Wesely of Pine City; his daughter, Tania Dolphy of St. Paul; his sister, Rita Olson of San Jose; his brother, Norbert Wesely of Minneapolis; his grandchildren, Nick Wesely, Mary (Tom) Hettrick, Annie (Ramsey Ferguson) Wesely; and Jessie Wesely; his beloved friend, Dee Setterquist of Carlton; and many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
There will be a gathering for family and friends from 5:00-7:00 PM on Monday, January 2, 2017 at Mueller Memorial, 835 Johnson Parkway, with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM. There will be a second gathering for family and friends from 10:00-11:30 AM on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at the funeral home with a service at 11:30 AM. A luncheon will immediately follow the service before processing to Fort Snelling National Cemetery for military honors at 2:00 PM.
