Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and Great-Great Grandfather

Passed away peacefully at home on August 13, 2024. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy, of 62 years; infant son, Gregory; parents, Angelo & Stella Vacca; sisters, Teresa, Maggie, and Florence; and brother, Tony. He will be deeply missed by daughters, Christine Vacca (Mike Butchko), Debbie Kielsa, and Barb (Craig) Wittich; grandchildren, Mandi, Blake, Samantha (Matt), and Cassandra (Joey); great grandchildren, Payton (Lexi), Caden, Zoey, and Giana; and great-great grandchild, Apollo; nieces, nephews, and friends. Chris proudly served in the US Army during WWII from 1943 - 1945 and was a life long member of the VFW and the Military Order of the Purple Heart. He retired from Whirlpool after 35 years. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11am on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, with visitation one hour prior at Mueller Memorial, 835 Johnson Pkwy, St. Paul, MN 55106. St. Francis de Sales Casino prayer vigil will be held during the visitation. Private Interment with military honors at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN. In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to the Wounded Warrior Project.
