Shafer, Carlyle “Duke” Beloved Husband, Father And Grandpa Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 17, 2012 at his home. 38 year member of the local 49ers. Preceded in death by sons, Daniel, Eric & Joseph. Survived by wife of 29 years, Shannon; children, Dawn (Paul) Schwantes, Duke Shafer, Krista Shafer, André Shafer, Denise (Joel) Klevin, Deanna (Terry) Meyers, Debbie (Jim) Golla; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; many brothers and sisters; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A gathering of friends and family will be 3-8 PM Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Mueller Lake Mortuary, 4738 Bald Eagle Avenue, White Bear Lake. Memorials are preferred.
