Brian Huu Chau, 39, passed away early in the morning of December 4th, 2020 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital.
He was born on May 6th, 1981 in St. Paul, Minnesota, the youngest son of Phung Huu Chau and Loc Thi Chau.
Brian grew up happily and became very successful banker. He attended Johnson High School and went on to the University of Minnesota. As a young child, Brian excelled academically and enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Mall of America. Brian certainly was adventurous; he flew solo as a young boy to visit his brother Hanh while his brother was stationed at Long Beach Naval Station in California. There, both went to Disney Land - it was such a joy to know Brian enjoyed his childhood to the fullest. Brian even went to his brotherâs Navy ship (USS Francis Hammond) and helped count money for payday disbursement. No wonder Brian grew up to be a very successful banker and later Investigative Banker for TCF Bank.
Brian loved to travel and enjoyed his Hawaii, Boston and Charleston, South Carolina trips. He loved sports and was wearing his Twins baseball cap during his final months. Brian also was a foodie. He loved to cook, grill and creating mouth-watering dishes.
Every one of us is so proud of Brianâs contributions to our world. Brian touched us all and our lives are a little better because Brian was here on this earth. Rest in peace for now Brian and then go on to do great things. We all loved you so much.
Brian is survived by his father Phung Huu Chau, mother Loc Thi Chau, sister Thu Thi Chau-Nguyen and her family, brother Hanh Huu Chau and his family and sister Bach-Yen Thi Bergman and her family.
