At the age of 85, Arthur Duane Lincoln died peacefully with family by his side. As a young man of 19, he served as a sergeant in the Marine Corp during the Korean War, leading an intelligence gathering reconnaissance team into enemy territory. Throughout his life, he was an avid sports fan, never missing a broadcast of Twin or Vikingâs games. He loved to fish, take nature walks, and share his charm and quick wit with others. He celebrated close to twenty years of sobriety of which he and his family are most grateful and proud. His youngest sister, his four children and their spouses, ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren survive Arthur Duane Lincoln. Although he will be missed, his family rejoices in his passing. A service will be held at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery at 12:30, Monday August 21. In lieu of flowers or donations, please consider a gift to your local chapter of Disabled American Vets.
