Arthur (Art) Allen Black

Black, Arthur A. Beloved Husband, Dad, Grandpa Age 78 of White Bear Lake Formerly of Forest Lake, passed away surrounded by loving family on Friday, April 15, 2011. He is preceded in death by parents, Grant and Emily Black; and sister-in-law, Ingeborg Black. He is survived by loving wife of 30 years, Pattie; children, Mark (Kathy), Linda, Michael (Steve) and Lori (Mike) Strafelda; bonus children, Susan Miller, Mary Jo (Mike) Farrell, Tim (Kitty) Emanuel and Paula (Vic) Trujillo; grandchildren, Tommy, Gina, Michelle, Jessica (Jeff), Kimberly (Eric), Billy, Holly, Molly (Aaron), Ryan (Jason), Arielle and Dylan; brothers, Jesse and Richard (Ann) Black; several nieces and nephews; many friends and wonderful neighbors; and constant companion, Bailey, his loyal Sheltie. Art was active with the American Legion, serving the Post and Third District and also the Department of MN as Chaplain and Sgt-at-Arms. He was a life member of American Legion Post 620, Hugo. A Gathering of Family and Friends will take place 5-8 PM Monday, April 18 at Mueller Lake Mortuary, 4738 Bald Eagle Ave., WBL and 1 hr prior to the service. Memorial Service 10 AM Tuesday, April 19 at Mueller Lake Mortuary. Interment Ft. Snelling Nat’l Cemetery. Memorials preferred.
