He was born on March 31, 1918 in Grand Rapids, MN. He lived there until attending St. John’s University in Collegeville, MN. He served in the Army in WW II and started his business, Wood Design Inc. in St. Paul after the war. Archie continued to live in the Mahtomedi – White Bear Lake area which he loved. He was active in his company and the community for over 50 years. He is preceded in death by his parents: Lester & Georgianne (D’Anjou) Lofberg and his first wife and mothe of his children, Beatrice (McGinty) Lofberg and his second wife Barbara Lofberg. He is survived by his 3 children: Patricia, Michael & Colleen and grandchildren: Lindsay, Dan, Tony, Barbara-jean, Andy, Tom & Jack. A great grandson Jordan. A daughter in law, Carol Fish and many nieces & nephews. He loved and was loved by his family and many friends. The family wishes to thank all of the friends who had treated him so wonderfully over the last years – the residents and staff at the Arbors of White Bear; the Visiting Angels especially Leigh; Cerenity Senior Care of White Bear and the Coventry of Mahtomedi Assisted Living Memory Care Center. And we especially thank the caring people at St. Croix Hospice. Mass of Christian Burial SATURDAY at 11 AM at St. Jude of the Lake, 700 Mahtomedi Ave., with visitation 1 hour prior to Mass at church. Reception follows Mass.
